Kanizsa TV, Nagykanizsa City Television, was one of the first local television stations in Hungary. Founded in 1985 by the then City Council, it was the 6th local television station to be established in the country. Initially broadcasting once a month as part of Hevesi Sándor Cultural Center, its frequency increased over time to once every two weeks and eventually once a week.Today Kanizsa TV is an independent media institution that broadcasts 24 hours a day on cable networks and online streaming services.
