On March 11, 2020, Turkey experienced its first case of the COVID-19 epidemic. As a result, primary and secondary schools were closed in order to protect students from potential exposure. In response to this unprecedented situation, TRT EBA TV was launched on 19-20 in cooperation with the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) and the Ministry of National Education. The goal of this new platform is to provide distance education without requiring students to come into school buildings.TRT EBA TV offers an extensive range of educational content for both primary and secondary school levels that can be accessed online through live tv streaming or downloaded for later viewing. The channel provides access to lessons from all subjects including math, science, language arts, social studies and more. Additionally there are special programs designed for children such as music classes and art workshops which help keep them engaged while learning at home.
The channel also features news segments related to current events as well as interviews with experts who provide insight into topics like health care reform or global warming initiatives. This helps ensure that students stay informed about important issues affecting their lives today while still receiving quality instruction from experienced teachers via TRT EBA TV’s digital platform.
In addition to providing educational content for free online streaming services such as YouTube or Vimeo; TRT EBA TV also has a mobile app available on iOS & Android devices so users can watch live tv streams wherever they go! With its comprehensive selection of educational materials combined with convenient accessibility options; it's no wonder why TRT EBA TV has become one of the most popular distance learning platforms since its launch in March 2020!
