TV channel MIR is an interstate television and radio company of the CIS countries, founded on October 9, 1992. The co-founders of “Mir” were ten of the twelve CIS countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Broadcasting is conducted in Russian language.The main goal of TV channel MIR is to provide viewers with a wide range of information about events taking place in the post-Soviet space as well as around the world. It also aims to promote friendship between peoples living in different parts of our vast region by creating a common cultural space for them.
TV channel MIR offers its viewers a variety of programs such as news bulletins from all over the world; political talk shows; entertainment programs; sports broadcasts; documentaries and feature films produced both inside and outside Russia; educational programs for children and adults alike etc. In addition to that it has recently launched its own online streaming service which allows people to watch live TV stream from anywhere in the world at any time they want!
