"Inter" is an information and entertainment TV channel in Ukraine, owned by oligarch Dmytro Firtash and politician Serhii Lyovochkin. It was founded in 1997 as a regional television station for the city of Lviv, but has since grown to become one of the most popular channels in Ukraine. The channel broadcasts through terrestrial ether and cable networks and satellite, technical coverage — 99.7% of the territory of Ukraine.The main focus of "Inter" is news programming, including political talk shows such as “Shuster Live” hosted by Savik Shuster; current affairs programs like “Freedom Of Speech” with Mustafa Nayem; investigative journalism series “Scandalous Truth”; weekly sports show “Football 1+1”; business program “Moneymakers"; documentary series about Ukrainian history "Ukraine: History Through Centuries". Over the years "Inter" has won numerous awards both domestically and internationally – it was named Best News Channel at the 2017 National Television Awards held annually by MediaNet magazine in Kyiv. In 2020 it received two prestigious awards at Monte Carlo TV Festival: Grand Prix for best news program ("Scandalous Truth") and Special Jury Prize for Best Documentary Series ("Ukraine: History Through Centuries").
