Wéo has become an important source of information for residents in the region it serves since its launch over 10 years ago; providing reliable news coverage about local issues as well as national topics from around France and beyond. The station’s commitment to quality journalism has been recognised with several awards throughout its history including two ‘Best Regional News Programme’ prizes at the National Television Awards in 2011 & 2013 respectively.
In recent years Wéo has expanded into other areas such as radio broadcasting via Webradio Pas de Calais which launched in 2018 offering listeners music from various genres plus talk shows discussing current affairs topics relevant to people living in the area served by Wéo TV . This expansion demonstrates how far this small regional broadcaster has come since it first began broadcasting back in 2009; proving itself not only capable but willing to adapt with changing times whilst still maintaining high standards when it comes to delivering quality content across all platforms - whether that be through traditional television or more modern methods like streaming services online .
